Somewhere in the darkness
Waiting in the wings
Lives a little magic
That might make your heart sing
You can’t exactly find it
Just invite it to appear
You might not even sense it
When it actually is near
It is a combination
Of preparedness and trust
That the universe is watching
So believe in this you must
Try not to focus
On where you might be stuck
But rather welcoming the magic
And discovering your luck
About the Poem Discovering Your Luck
Discovering your luck is about being prepared for the special moments that await us but not to try and force them into existence. They may be waiting for us, but they also want to work with us. You can’t force it, you just have to welcome it. Sometimes we want things and we try to make them happen but all you can really do is create the conditions for them to happen. You can’t be disappointed when they don’t happen because that’s not how it works. We need to be grateful when luck does find us. You just have to go about your day, pay attention and discover your luck.
The poem itself is inspired by the writings of Bishop T.D. Jakes. I recently read his latest book and there are a lot of nuggets work exploring in future poems. I have about 20 poems that I already have the titles for. Coming to a website near you soon.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
