Alone they go unnoticed
Together they are sublime
Creating a lasting image
That can pass the test of time
Unique in contributions
A key to fit each lock
That lets us pause a moment
To enjoy and just take stock
Few may know their destiny
Separate from the whole
Bringing them together
Is how they reach their goal
And then we sit in wonder
A feast there for the eyes
The combining of potential
It should come as no surprise
About the Poem Threads of the Tapestry
The poem Threads of the Tapestry is about how people are given pieces of knowledge to do something with. Often times it seems meaningless until we share it with others. Then a picture starts to emerge. Each pieces adds more to the picture until you can start to see what it is supposed to be. At that point you can look for specific pieces to fill in the blanks. This is one of those concepts that either makes perfect sense or you won’t understand it at all. For those of us that can see the potential tapestry, we need to continue to seek the threads to make it complete.
Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
