Afraid to show its rays

The impact on our days
Is that even possible
To be less than you are
You are the sun above us

Is it too much to ask you
To shine the way you should
And be what we are needing

About the Poem The Light Inside
The Light Inside is about being afraid to show who we are. We all have some gift or talent, and often times we think we are unworthy to share it with the world. Seth Godin says “if you are happy with the final product, you waited too long” This applies to books that you might write. Or maybe paintings or sculptures, or even just you. We are all a work in progress. Maybe you are a singer, or a musician that hasn’t shared your gift with the world. Some of us wait a lifetime because think we are supposed to be at a certain level or a certain age to share our talents.
One young girl who clearly doesn’t have a problem showing her true self is Nandi Bushell. If you don’t know who she is, I won’t spoil it too much but by all means check her out. Let’s just say she is “a beast” at what she does. The fact that she is 10 years old makes it even more amazing. She isn’t just talented. Nandi is someone who is going to change the world – even if she doesn’t know it yet. Isn’t it time you shared the light inside you with the world? If a 10 year old can do it, you can too.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
