In a world born out of chaos
We look for bits of calm
To keep us moving forward
And sometimes just to carry on
Is it somehow selfish
To wish this for us alone
Considering the pain
So many there have known
One wish is just the model
And from that, there soon are two
And then starts the unthinking
Of all the pain we knew
We just must share these feelings
And together share the call
If one can have a private peace
Then there is hope for all
About the poem A Private Peace
The poem A Private Peace is about how we all want peace in our world. How far the boundaries of that world extend is different for everyone. Maybe it’s just our job or our home. Those things seem at least obtainable. Once you start expanding that view to national or global issues, most people give up. It’s just too big. So are we being selfish to hope for peace in our little corner of the world?
Well it has to start somewhere. It might as well be with you. The reality is that we are all connected so ideas tend to spread just by having them. Obviously bad ideas can spread just like good ideas, but hopefully if there are enough good ideas, they will win the day. So maybe if we can find peace in our part of the world, others can find it in theirs.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
