So many years together
But so much time apart
The choice to be of services
Weighed heavy on my heart
Even with the distance
You never left my mind

In free time I would find
I know there was so much I missed
But my heart was always there
It’s not what you signed up for

About the Poem Best of Times
The Best of Times is an inspirational poem about the challenge of being deployed while being in the military. It can put a huge strain on both the family and the soldier. It also makes the time spent with family all that more special. It may lack in quantity over the years, but the memories are usually enough to sustain both family members and service members during the time apart. Many service members have multiple deployments that keep them away from their families for sometimes a year or more at a time.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
