Noble in intention
Impossible in design
Fleeting as a moment
Or thought that’s hard to find
An element of luck perhaps
Or synchronicity
Reminding us what’s possible
And what may someday be
It’s not like you can chase it
Stalking well your prize
You only need to welcome it
With your heart and open eyes
You only need to be there
And know the time is right
Receiving what’s intended

About the Poem – Catching Smoke
Catching Smoke is an inspirational poem about dreams, love and other intangible things in life that may be hard to go in search of. For many they may be even harder to hold onto. Much like chasing rainbows, catching smoke is a challenging if not impossible task. Whatever you are focused on, you simply need to present and waiting for it when it arrives. Don’t try to grasp it in your hand because you will come up empty. Simply occupy the same space and time and let the experience be what it is supposed to be.
What is the smoke that you are chasing? is it love, fame, or just a dream? There’s a scene in the movie Under the Tuscan Sun where one of the characters ( played by Lindsay Duncan) has a great analogy about love and looking for lady bugs. It’s sort of a theme throughout the movie. It’s one of my favorite films.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
