It’s often how we see it
The lens has but a haze
We think that there are problems
But it just darkens up our days
We hold on to this perception
Not knowing it’s not true
And it bleeds into our actions
In everything we do
It’s all an imperfect beauty
Created in our mind
But when the veil is lifted
The truth is what we find
It often takes something drastic
To change the way we see
And there and in an instant
We find that we are free
About the Poem An Imperfect Beauty
The poem An Imperfect Beauty is about us seeing ourselves and the world in a negative light. It’s not necessarily reality. How we respond to things is often just a matter of how we see them. Two people can view the same thing and see something entirely different. Is one right and the other wrong? Sometimes. It may just be the lens they are looking through. Beauty is not without imperfections. And imperfections can help us see beauty. If you happen to be looking at a mirror, and all you see are imperfections, I guarantee there is someone out there that sees beauty in that same reflection.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
