A time of soft reflection
Attention to be paid
A moment of attention
To choices that we’ve made
The audience is present
But the performance goes on
Regardless of the attendees
And long after they’re gone
Timing that is predictable
Yet always a bit unique
A brief moment of beauty
And the closure that we seek
The moment growing closer
The final note is struck
It just takes the right timing
And a little bit of luck
About the Poem Crescendo
The poem Crescendo is about sunsets. They are nature’s daily crescendo. There’s not a lot of fanfare working up to it. Most of the time we don’t pay attention or even see them. But if you happen to be in the right place and of the right mind, you can see something spectacular. It doesn’t care of you are watching or not. Nature creates it’s art every day, it’s just a matter of whether we take the time to enjoy it. But, like any perfect moment, it only lasts a brief period of time. It takes a little bit of luck to fully enjoy it. Make the effort.
Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
