Almost without warning
Yet in some ways no surprise
The change is here forever
Right be for your eyes
It’s likely to be painful
And drama to be sure
A sickness long been growing
And change presents a cure
The way we treat each other
Based on colors of our skin
Is about to change forever
And in the end we all will win
It might take some getting used to
But there can be no other way
To live as one together

About The Poem – The Change is Here
The Change is Here is an inspirational poem about our current world situation. Between a global pandemic, race riots, and storms that are currently tearing up the country, change is here for sure. When the virus is contained and we are back to seeing people’s faces again, hopefully it won’t matter what color they are underneath the mask. It’s been over 150 years since slavery ended, and 50 years since the great civil rights marches and we still don’t get it. We have 5 senses. Why do some people only use one to judge a person? Until we find a new planet, we all have to share this one equally.
Nature likes diversity. If it didn’t there would be one type of bird, one type of fish, one type of animal, and one type of human. We are probably the least diverse group on the planet. For some people that isn’t good enough. The bad news is that this is a learned behavior. The good news is also that is a learned behavior. What can be learned, can be unlearned. Unless you live on a flat planet that is the center of the solar system, there is hope.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
