About the Inspirational Poem Glory to the Heroes
Glory to the Heroes is an inspirational poem based on a phrase in Ukrainian culture that goes back to the Ukrainian War of Independence which started in 1917. One hundred years later it is part of the official salute for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the coming weeks you are likely to hear the phrase, Glory to Ukraine more than once. You may or may not hear the response to that statement, which is Glory to the Heroes.
With over one million people displaced and an estimated four million to follow, this is a catastrophe on a massive scale. The loss of live is likely to increase exponentially as the attack continues. It is heartbreaking to watch as a madman threatens all of us. There doesn’t seem to be an easy answer that doesn’t escalate into an all out war in Europe.
While we look for creative solutions, there are some innovative ways to help the Ukrainian people. Supplies and donations are obvious, but one I found especially interesting is that people are making reservations on AirBnB for stays in Ukraine that they will never use. This gets money directly to families in Ukraine in a matter of days. It may not have the combined power of donations, but it is a personal way to impact someone you will probably never meet. As long as we can stand together, there is hope.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
