A brief moment of silence
And then the curtain parts
Excitement starts building
And touches at our hearts

The curtain creates drama
By wiping clear the slate
Creating anticipation
By forcing us to wait

What will be the magic
That sits just out of view
Images of wonder
And memories that we knew

A special world emerges
That the curtain does reveal
Creating special moments
That help us all to heal

About This Inspirational Poem

A Curtain Opening is an inspirational poem about the promise of a new day and that moment when night turns to day. There is this quiet time before the sun comes up. The sky is often at it’s most colorful in this twilight time. Our thoughts often move towards what is just beyond the horizon. Are we going to see a blue sky with a bright yellow ball, or will there be a mixture of greens and oranges punctuated by a bright red ball. The possibilities are endless. Every day is a new performance of light and color. If you don’t like it one day. Come back tomorrow, it will be completely different. The actors are always the same, but the performance is different. The price of admission is just taking the time to observer. See what is out there and enjoy the special moments that Mother Nature has waiting for you. Not everyone likes to get up before the sun just to see this amazing display, but once you do it a few times, you are likely to get hooked. Every day is different and something to be grateful for. Set your alarm, grab our coffee and find a good seat. The show is about to start.

Inspirational Poetry Books

Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products

While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
