Not how we would plan it
Leaving you so soon
You are our whole world
The sun, the stars, the moon
But here we are much later
The scars still fresh in mind
Leaving a painful memory
For those we left behind
We tend to think in what-ifs
And endings that we choose
And when that doesn’t happen
We dwell on what we lose
But there still are happy endings
We find them deep inside
Just know this is real
That we’re always by your side
About the Poem This is Real
The poem This is Real is about the day that three children’s lives were changed in a horrific car accident. These were their father’s final words. I’m sure there were lots of other things he and his wife would have liked to have said had they been able. We rarely get the last goodbye we hope for, or even can imagine. I’d like to think this poem captures more of what their parents would have liked to share given the chance.

The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
