A dance of light and magic
With a rustling of leaves
A drama for the senses
That forms our core beliefs

The roots are hidden from us
Though the strength is always there
Creating bits of magic
For all of us to share

Branches form the framework
To manipulate the light
Creating natures fire
As a present for our sight

Whether one or maybe many
The fire lies in wait
For the magic to come together
That with us it does create

About the Poem The Fire Tree

The poem The Fire Tree is one of many poems inspired by the paintings of Inga Street. Her paintings capture nature as it interacts with light with her own dramatic flare for color. You would never see things exactly this way, but they are very real just the same. We tend to take nature for granted, but within individual moments there is a drama of color, light and shadow playing out that only exists for a fraction of a second. We either see it, capture it or lose it forever. Maybe it wasn’t meant for us to see. Or maybe it was. Do you really want to take the chance? Take some time to look around and appreciate what’s happening out there. There is magic waiting for you.

Inspirational Poetry Books

Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products

While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
