Stones of Light

The road is paved with shiny stones
Much like those who walked alone
To teach the world their lofty thoughts
Amidst the forest's city dots

You can find them standing there
Though visible only from the air
Reminders of a distant time
A land of oranges, lemons, and limes

It's funny you have not seen it yet
With all that's hooked to your TV set
We suppose the time has yet to pass
To allow parting of the trees and grass

You will find it soon we say
There are simply things to clear away
You'll find the pillars oh so white
That stand guard round the stones of light

Children Death and Dying Ancient Places Life and Living
Echoes of War The Family of God The World Around Us A Possible Future
