They sometimes will deceive
Our eyes and ears can steer us
Away from what we believe
Take some time for silence
Close your eyes for a while
Reconnect with memories
That always makes you smile
Just pick a direction
A compass and a thought
Creating some new memories
That expands the things we’re taught
The road is long and windy
Full of things you’ve never known

About the Poem You Never Walk Alone
The poem You Never Walk Alone is about the journeys we take. Some we do by choice, others are forced upon us. Some are a trip of a lifetime, others are a fight for our lives. I’m actually sharing one of each of those journeys with someone this week. The trip of a lifetime is being shared via Facebook from 3500 miles away, and is the basis for the picture. The other from a hospital bed, a little closer to home. Both can seem lonely even surrounded by people. So whether you are walking 500 miles across Spain, or spending 8 hours a day getting chemotherapy, you are never alone.
Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
