Like an empty canvas
We paint with only seeds
A scene to fill the senses
Fulfilling basic needs
Beauty is as important
As food or even air
More so, it’s a reminder
That each of us was there
Sometimes only fleeting
The colors fade away
But seeds that will be planted
Will bring them back one day
Basking in the splendor
If only for a while
Leaves us with a memory
And maybe with a smile
About the poem Garden Magic
The poem Garden Magic is about what can be created from simple seeds. It’s also a metaphor for life. We don’t just plant seeds in dirt, we plant seeds/intentions/actions in the world around us. The world is our garden. And like most gardens, there are weeds that need pulling, but it can produce beauty in many forms, such as friendship, art, and love. It’s also a reminder that the magic is often fleeting. We only have so much time to enjoy it. Many people may fear it because it might not last. But how many things do? Take the risk. Plant the seeds. See what grows as a result.
Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
