Everything I taught you
Everything you know
I don’t think I could be prouder
At the chance to watch you grow

Every father wishes
To leave part of himself
In actions and in stories
And pictures on a shelf

We want to create a legacy
To those we leave behind
And know they will be stronger
When strength they need to find

In the end we are all memories
That hopefully are shared
Reminding those we love the most
Of just how much we cared
