The clearing smoke
Vacant looks and muffled cries
The smoke is thick and burns your eyes
And still the heroes continue higher
In search of those now trapped by fire
A woman stumbles on the stair
A helping hand is quickly there
"Keep on moving" comes the shout
We have to get these people out
Another floor and more are freed
And still they climb to those in need
Their hands reach out to everyone
To help their brothers reach the sun
Higher now, the smoke soon clears
There is no dust, there is no fear
It's there with pride these heroes stand
And one by one they take God's hand
