Take a step outside your shell
To drink the secrets of the well
No longer will you fit inside
There’s no more need to run and hide
It’s easy now to be yourself
And set your fears upon a shelf
To close your eyes for just a thought
And reconsider all you’re taught
Wishes made when you were young
Captured in the songs you sung
Freed your heart to laugh and play
Reminders of a former day
So now you look through open eyes
To ask the hows, the whens, the whys
To search the world to find your part
And free the dreams within your heart
About the Poem Butterfly
This butterfly poem is about discovering you are no longer a caterpillar and you are now a butterfly. It can be an unsettling process to realize that everything you have known is no longer part of your reality. It may be as simple as realizing the going to parties doesn’t have the same satisfaction. Or maybe a longing that doesn’t seem to be met through your regular routine. It may take a while to realize that you are now a butterfly and that everything is different. But if you embrace the change you can learn how to fly.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
